Overview

About this journey

For trekkers ready to step into mountaineering. This itinerary follows the standard Everest Base Camp route, then continues to Chhukung and a guided summit attempt on Island Peak (Imja Tse, 6,189 m) — Nepal's most accessible 6,000-metre peak.

Why this trek

  • EBC trek + a real Himalayan summit in 16 days.
  • Island Peak requires basic crampon and rope skills — we run a fixed-rope training day at Base Camp before the summit push.
  • Acclimatization is automatic: by the time you turn toward Island Peak you've already spent two weeks above 4,000 m.
  • Climbing permit, NMA peak fee, and technical guide included.

Requirements

Strong fitness and prior multi-day trekking experience. No previous climbing required, but you'll be using an ice axe and front-point crampons for the summit ridge. We provide all technical gear.
